Research Associate - Industrial Goods

WHAT YOULL DO
As a Research Associate within BCG’s Data and Research Service (DRS) function, you will form an integral part of our South East Asia DRS team. Through the delivery of secondary research, you will contribute to BCG’s client work and knowledge base by supporting proposals, client cases and business or internal development initiatives. You will clearly synthesize, package, articulate and deliver your findings in a timely and accurate manner and conduct research on commercial, multi-industry and economic topics. Excellent organization skills are essential for successfully managing a variety and volume of research requests by accurately summarizing data and facts into appropriate and timely output i.e. email, Excel, PowerPoint, Word. Along with supporting research products (i.e. news alerts, company profiles etc.), you will also contribute to knowledge capture and documentation.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

• 
  Undergraduate degree minimum (a preference for a degree in business, economics, engineering, sciences)
• 1-2 years relevant working experience in research or consulting
• Have good understanding and experience working in one of these industries is preferred: metals & mining/automotive/agribusiness & forestry/chemical & refining/building materials
• Fluency in macroeconomic or industry specific databases is a plus (Oxford Economics, S&P, Orbis, IHS Market, etc)
• Excellent English; Indonesia mother tongue

The Data and Research Services (DRS) function is a dynamic and highly visible center of excellence focused on business research and process innovation. We collaborate with our consulting teams to bring advanced research capabilities to support projects and clients. DRS provides specialist research services to consulting teams and our Knowledge Team, taking deep pride in delivering rapid and precise results.

DRS works with both qualitative and quantitative data, conducting research and providing synthesized results from over 100 commercial sources, publicly available data, company and industry research, macro-economic, commodities and trade data.
