Summary:The work schedule for this position is:
- Full Time (40 hours per week)
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (4 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
This position serves as the Consular Sections lead Fraud Prevention Unit (FPU) Supervisor and is responsible for: 1) supporting the Fraud Prevention Manager (FPM) in the prevention, detection, investigation, and reporting of fraud in relation to visa and citizenship applications, 2) supervising the work of the Fraud Investigator and the Fraud Assistant; and 3) identifying and integrating lessons-learned from a spectrum of fraud referral databases. The incumbent must possess higher level of subject matter knowledge and skills to respond to complex cases. The supervisor is responsible for maintaining the Crew Visa Program (CVP), Leahy Vetting, and other fraud-related portfolios within the visa units. Advises and provides recommendations to junior staff, colleagues, and others regarding visa application procedures, visa eligibility requirements, procedural precedents and specialized advice pertaining to visa fraud detection.
Qualifications and Evaluations Requirements:
EXPERIENCE:
Must have a minimum of three years of working experience in a Consulate, Embassy, international organization, government agencies/offices with responsibilities within any or all of the following: law, police investigations, claims investigations, fraud detection, visa or passport production. Prior professional experience interacting with Indonesian government offices is required. (Please note that one credited year of working experience is equal to 40 hours/week x 52 weeks or 2080 hours.)
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Position requires having a good understanding of Indonesian legal system regarding citizen services, immigration, fraud, and types of documents routinely used by Indonesian authorities; an understanding of Indonesian civil and family law procedures; and the principles of customer service and business correspondence.
Bachelor’s degree in one of the follow fields of study is required: Communications, Public Administration, Business Management, Law, or International Relations.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: Fluent speaking/reading/writing in English and Indonesia languages are required. This may be tested.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
Computer literacy in Microsoft Windows environment. Database input and management. Must be comfortable working with the public, capable of responding with courtesy under conditions of stress. Must be able to cold call to investigate fraud cases, establish rapport and elicit information from strangers without introduction. Must have analytical thinking skills.
