R&D Lighting Specialist

Opportunity

As a full-time R&D Lighting Specialist based in Jakarta, you will play a crucial role in the research and development of advanced lighting systems for our smart home products. You will collaborate with a team of engineers and designers to create lighting technologies that elevate user experience and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on emerging lighting technologies and trends to inform product development and optimization.
• Design and prototype innovative lighting solutions that meet functional and aesthetic requirements for smart home applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate lighting systems with other smart home technologies and ensure compatibility and performance.
• Perform testing and analysis of lighting designs to assess performance, energy consumption, and user satisfaction.
• Analyze data, generate reports, and present findings to stakeholders to drive decision-making and improve product offerings.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Lighting Design, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in lighting research and development, with a focus on smart home or related industries.
• Understanding of lighting components such as LED, drivers, heatsinks, and optical lenses.
• Experience with lighting simulation software (DIALux, Relux, AutoCAD Lighting). Familiar with lighting standards and regulations (IES, SNI, IEC, RoHS).
• Experience with lab testing LED products, smart lighting, or automated lighting systems is preferred.
• Familiar with product design, testing, and certification processes / create basic to advanced electronic schematics.
