Coating Advisor - Pontianak Area

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE As part of the Technical service team, attend inspections together with a Senior Coating Advisor on Jotuns projects and assist in ensuring that Jotuns products are used according to specifications and to meet customer expectations. Responsibilities:

• Develop an understanding of the tasks within the Technical Service department by assisting and supporting senior Coating Advisors on site to learn the role of the Coating Advisor and related tasks.
• Assist in carrying out assigned inspections by executing tasks given in accordance with Jotuns policies and guidelines in order to gain experience and a clear understanding in carrying out inspections
• Gather data by using the inspection tools in order to assist the senior Coating Advisor in compiling and completing required inspection reports.
• Develop an understanding of application criteria of specific products by participating in trial applications, observe actual applications and attend and pass Team No.1 Level 1 in order to gain knowledge and experience in product application
• The Junior Coating Advisor works under the supervision of a Senior Coating Advisor at site. A Junior Coating Advisor cannot be authorised to carry out any final inspections unattended by a Senior Coating Advisor. Depending on experience and education level, a person should be in this Job profile for 3-12 months before moving on to CA L1. If the Job holder does not have adequate English skills, the Junior Coating Advisor can only attend local projects, until a reasonable level of English is mastered.

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree, Engineering (Construction, Marine, Chemical, Metallurgy) or equivalent experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the related field as Technical Service or Coating Advisor for Performance Coatings
• Good command of English (both oral or written)
• Energetic, analytic, eager to learn and enjoy high mobility
• Certified NACE / FROSIO is more preferable
• Willing to relocate to Pontianak
