Job Description

An opportunity for a Procurement Intern to gain experience in the procurement of raw material, and commodities market in the Indonesia animal feed industry.
In this role, the intern will report to the Regional Commodity Procurement Director, assisting with the procurement process, including the evaluation of raw material suitability and prices together with the respective departments.

The intern will have a dotted line reporting to the Indonesia Aquaculture Manager, with the opportunity to understand the business environment, and gain exposure to workings of the different departments involved in feed manufacturing.
This role involves active communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high visibility on the cost of raw material and measure the impact on Cost of Good Sold position.

Your Responsibilities

• Reviewing, comparing and analyzing materials and services to be purchased. This is in collaboration with the country GM, business line manager as part of the S&OP process.
• Tracking raw material usage and placing purchase orders in a timely manner.
• Tracking & analysis of raw material market prices and position competitiveness.
• Performing cost analysis and forecasting
• Presentation of raw material cost evolution

Your Profile

• Final year or recent graduates with a Bachelor Degree from Nutrition, Economic & Business, Business Administration, or any related major.
• Willing to be hired for a period of 6-12 months, for 3-4 days commitment per week.
• Willing to be located at Jakarta area.
• A strong team player with high business acumen.
• Possess good knowledge of procurement principles, supply chain management, and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
• Have good organizational and time-management skills, with the capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Able to operate Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, & Power Point).
• Candidates with PowerBI skills will be considered favorably.
• Candidates with prior exposure to animal nutrition, animal feed manufacturing or agricultural raw material businesses will be considered favorably.
• Due to the nature of the role, candidates are required to possess strong communication skills in both spoken and written English & Bahasa Indonesia
