Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Posisi based at our manufacturing facility in Gondangrejo (Karanganyar), Solo, Central Java. The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for driving productivity, efficiency, and cost optimization through strong engineering practices, effective use of MES, and disciplined production planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Calculate style SMV, prepare Operation Breakdown (OB), and design optimized line layouts
• Manage and effectively utilize MES for real-time production monitoring, efficiency tracking, and performance improvement
• Drive line balancing and capacity planning based on manpower and machine availability
• Ensure production targets are achieved with optimum manpower and machine utilization, avoiding unnecessary overtime
• Monitor daily efficiency, DHU, and output; take corrective actions to close gaps against targets
• Identify bottlenecks proactively and implement corrective measures to improve line flow and throughput
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using IE tools such as time study, motion study, and work standardization
• Optimize processes to reduce SMV, improve productivity, and control manufacturing costs
• Ensure production is executed within approved budgets (labour cost, OT control, efficiency targets)
• Work closely with the Planning team to ensure realistic loading, smooth line feeding, and adherence to production schedules
• Develop and maintain skill matrix, ensure multi-skilling, and improve workforce flexibility
• Support pre-production activities including method engineering, workstation setup, folders, attachments, and machine requirements
• Establish and track KPIs such as efficiency, absenteeism impact, line utilization, and cost per piece
• Implement and monitor productivity incentive schemes aligned with performance targets
• Analyse MES and production data to drive data-based decision-making and performance improvements
• Support digitalization and automation initiatives within production processes
• Train and guide supervisors and line leaders on IE practices and performance management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in garment manufacturing (both woven & knit preferred)
• Strong hands-on experience in MES systems and production analytics
• Proven experience in achieving production targets within manpower, machine, and cost constraints
• Strong knowledge of SMV calculation, line balancing, and capacity planning
• Experience in cost control, OT reduction, and productivity improvement initiatives
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
• Good leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills
• Willing to work on-site in Gondangrejo, Karanganyar, Solo.
