Role Description

We are seeking a Visual Art Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis (weekdays). You will design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in visual arts, including activities such as painting, ceramics, and other forms of artistic expression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Adaptation: Deliver age-appropriate art projects, ensuring high school Visual Arts sessions focus on technique, art history, or portfolio building.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, encouraging, and organized studio environment.
  • Material Management: Prepare, organize, and clean up art supplies before and after each session.
Requirements and Qualifications

We are looking for an educator who brings the perfect blend of artistic talent and instructional skill. To be considered, you must meet at least one of the following pathways:

  • A degree in Education (or a relevant teaching certification) paired with a strong, proven personal art portfolio or mixed-media background.

OR

  • A degree in Fine Arts (or Visual Arts, Design, etc.) paired with a proven track record of experience teaching or mentoring students.
Additional General Requirements
  • Versatile Skillset: Strong foundational skills in various mediums (e.g., drawing, painting, mixed media, or crafting) that can be adapted for different skill levels.
  • Adaptability & Patience: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to pivot your teaching style depending on each student's skill levels.
  • Reliability: High punctuality and strong organizational skills.
