Director of Engineering

The Director of Engineering is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the engineering department, driving strategic technical direction, managing engineering teams, and ensuring successful delivery of high-quality products and systems. This role balances technical expertise with leadership, focusing on innovation, scalability, team development, and cross-functional collaboration.

·        Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field) (Masters preferred).

·        10+ years of engineering experience, with 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in hospitality or building maintenance.

·        Strong knowledge of hotel facility management, building systems, and preventive maintenance.

·        Familiarity with local safety regulations, environmental policies, and compliance standards.

·        Experience managing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety systems.

·        Ability to lead and develop a high-performing engineering team.

·        Proven experience in capital project planning, renovation, and asset management.

·        Strong analytical and decision-making skills to drive operational efficiency.

·        Expertise in energy management, cost control, and sustainability initiatives.

·        Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.

·        Strong focus on safety, compliance, and guest satisfaction.

·        Proficiency in facility management software and building automation systems.

·        Knowledge of smart technology and energy-efficient solutions for hotel operations.
