About the customer:

Our client is a small-scale furniture company based in Yogyakarta, specializing in high-quality, handcrafted furniture for export. Known for blending traditional craftsmanship with modern standards, they work closely with local artisans to produce durable and aesthetically appealing pieces that meet international quality requirements.

Job Summary: 

We are seeking a Procurement & Sourcing Coordinator to lead the procurement of materials, components, and decorative items for high-quality export furniture. This role focuses on securing reliable suppliers, negotiating prices, managing quality, and ensuring timely delivery in line with export-grade standards. The coordinator will also manage supplier relationships and oversee sourcing activities across Central Java and other regions as needed. The candidate must have a successful experience of sourcing in furniture industry.

Responsibilities:

• Source and secure reliable suppliers, workshops, and artisans for furniture components and decorative materials.

• Lead price negotiations, cost breakdowns, and supplier contract terms to achieve cost efficiency.

• Ensure supplier compliance with international quality and delivery standards for export furniture.

• Visit local producers (e.g. Solo, Jogja, Jepara, Cirebon, Surabaya, Tulungagung) to evaluate capacity and quality (travel covered).

• Plan and coordinate delivery or pickup of materials and finished products.

• Oversee sample development, quality control checks, and resolution of supplier issues.

• Maintain accurate supplier data, pricing, and product information in Odoo ERP.

• Update the online catalog with product photos and specifications.

• Organize freelance support (drafters, photographers) for product design and marketing materials.

• Collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve procurement and sourcing processes.

Requirements:

• Based in Yogyakarta

• Must have min. 2 years of experience in procurement or sourcing in the furniture industry.

• Strong experience in supplier negotiation, price analysis, and procurement planning.

• Familiarity with ERP systems (Odoo preferred) and strong administrative skills.

• Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of building lasting supplier partnerships.

• Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Design, Management, or related fields.

• Intermediate English: able to hold work conversations, join meetings, and handle basic emails. Full fluency is not required.

• Willingness to travel to supplier locations as needed.

For this position, the clients budget is between 7.000.000 - 12.000.000 /month
