• Handling Transactions: Process sales transactions accurately using the point of sale (POS) system, including cash, credit/debit card payments, and other payment methods.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues or complaints in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Balancing Cash Drawer: Count and balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure the correct amount of cash is present.
• Receipts and Documentation: Issue receipts, refunds, or change due to customers, and ensure all transactions are properly documented.
• Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the checkout area clean and organized, and ensure that all equipment is in good working condition.
• Compliance: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations regarding transactions and cash handling.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient checkout process.
