Chief Operation Officer - Laboratory

Key Responsibilities:

1. Managing sales dan marketing in Indonesia dental lab.

2. Ensure smooth daily operations of all supporting laboratory functions (e.g. radiology, sterilization, consumables logistics).

3. Supervise laboratory personnel, workflows, and implementation of SOPs.

4. Guarantee service quality, safety, and compliance with healthcare regulations.

5. Improve operational efficiency and inventory control.

6. Coordinate closely with dentists, dental assistants, and clinic management.

Job Description:

1. Drive and oversee the sales and marketing strategy, ensuring sustainable business growth.

2. Ensure all procedures comply with Ministry of Health standards and Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) guidelines.

3. Organize schedules and workflows within the dental lab.

4. Identify inefficiencies in workflows and implement corrective improvements.

5. Oversee the maintenance and functionality of radiology equipment.

6. Conduct coaching and supervise the performance of lab personnel.

7. Create and monitor daily sterilization and hygiene checklists.

8. Manage hazardous waste (B3) and biomedical disposal procedures.

9. Oversee stock levels of consumable dental materials.

10. Develop ordering system and monitor expiration dates.

11. Collaborate with the purchasing team for procurement of equipment and materials.

12. Train team members on clinical accreditation standards and internal audits.

13. Foster a culture of discipline and operational efficiency.

14. Prepare periodic reports on laboratory operations for top management.

15. Communicate findings or improvement needs across departments.

16. Participate in clinic operations meetings and contribute to strategic decision-making.

Requirements :

1. Minimum 5 years in a senior operations or managerial role.

2. Bachelors degree in related field.

3. Proficient in English, both spoken and written.

4. Able to prepare reports that comply with internal and external standards, including regulatory requirements.

5. Familiarity with scaling lab operations or setting up new lab facilities

6. Proven track record of managing multidisciplinary teams.

7. Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building capabilities.

8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
