Chinese Translator

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Chinese Translator to join our team at PT Level01 Indonesia in our Jakarta office. As a Chinese Translator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating seamless communication and collaboration between our business and our Chinese-speaking clients and partners. This is a full-time position that offers excellent opportunities for professional growth and development.

What youll be doing

• Providing accurate and nuanced translations between Chinese and English, ensuring the preservation of meaning and tone
• Interpreting for meetings, calls, and other business interactions with Chinese-speaking stakeholders
• Proofreading and editing translated materials to maintain the highest quality standards
• Liaising with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver translations on time
• Staying up-to-date with industry terminology and best practices in translation
• Contributing to the development of translation tools and processes to improve efficiency

What were looking for

• Fluency in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English, with excellent command of grammar, syntax, and idioms
• Strong translation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas and nuances between the two languages
• Experience in professional translation, ideally in a marketing or business setting
• Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Familiarity with translation technology and computer-assisted translation tools
• Adaptability and a collaborative mindset to work effectively with cross-functional teams
