Fire Commander (Safety)

Job Description - Fire Commander
  • Lead fire prevention efforts and coordinate response before external assistance arrives.

  • Plan fire safety programs, propose budgets, and manage firefighting facilities (APAR, hydrants, pumps, etc.).

  • Respond to fire alarms and emergencies; command firefighting and rescue operations on site.

  • Operate and maintain fire trucks and related equipment.

  • Supervise fire team and ensure continuous training for employees and subcontractors.

  • Conduct fire drills, emergency preparedness simulations, and confined space rescue.

  • Inspect fire equipment, systems, and buildings; record findings and suggest improvements.

  • Communicate effectively with Maintenance Director, Safety Engineer, and Shift Leader during emergencies.

  • Manage reports, inventory, programs, and team performance related to fire safety.

  • Firefighting equipment (trucks, pumps, hoses)

  • Fire alarm systems and hydrants

  • APAR (portable extinguishers)

  • Emergency response systems and drills

  • Firefighting training materials

Requirements
  • Min. STM (Vocational High School) in Engineering; fresh graduates are welcome.

  • Experience in power plant fire safety is a plus.

  • Completed Fire Prevention Level I & II and K3 (HSE) basic certification.

  • Knowledge of fire science, emergency response, and firefighting operations.

  • Physically and mentally alert during long working hours.
