We urgently are looking for an experienced  GEOLOGIST (Bauxite).

A geologist is a scientist who specializes in studying the Earths composition, structure, and processes. Their duties include: Analyzing rocks, minerals, and fossils to understand the planets history; Uncovering valuable resource; Conducting fieldwork and collecting samples; Using various tools and technologies to interpret geological data; Assessing natural resources, locating hazards, and advising on land-use planning and development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field studies and surveys to collect data on geological formations.

• Analize rock samples, minerals, and fossils to identify their composition and structure.

• Use geophysical techniques to study the subsurface of the Earth.

• Prepare geological maps, charts, and reports.

• Assess natural resources especially for Bauxite.

• Evaluate the impacts of construction projects on the environment.

• Collaborate with engineers, environmental scientists, and other professionals.

• Conduct research to expand knowledge of geological processes.

• Utilize computer software for modelling and data analysis.

• Provide expert advice on geological issues to various stakeholders.

• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.

Requirements and Skills

To excel in the role of a Geologist, individuals should possess the following:

• S1degree in Geology or related field.

• Minimum 5 years experience in Bauxite industry.

• Experience with geospatial software and GIS applications.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations.

• Fieldwork experience in diverse geological settings.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficiency in using laboratory and field equipment.

• Strong foundation in geological principles and theories.

• Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.

• Experience with geological mapping and survey techniques.

• Basic understanding of geophysical and geochemical methods.

• Ability to conduct fieldwork in various terrains and weather conditions.

• Strong organizational and project management skills.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and reporting.

• Familiarity with health and safety protocols in fieldwork.

• Solid computer skills, including the use of geological software.
