Junior Geochemist

About the role

We are seeking a talented Junior Geochemist to join our team at PT Thermochem Indonesia, a leading consulting services and laboratory provider focused primarily on the renewable geothermal power sector. In this full-time position, you will be based in Bandung, West Java, and play a crucial role in supporting our geochemical analysis and advisory services for our diverse client base.

What youll be doing

• Perform Geothermal Fluid Sampling from Exploration through Production.
• Geochemistry Reporting & Interpretation.
• Assistance in working on the Conceptual Model and Data Interpretation.
• Perform Tracer Flow Test (TFT) & Geochemistry Surveys.
• Assist the Laboratory in sample check-in.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What were looking for

• Bachelors Degree preferably in Geological Engineering or Master of Science in Geothermal Master Degree.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar job in Geothermal Industry.
• Understanding of Basic Chemical Analysis, Sampling, Engineering Process, Geothermal Fluid Sampling, Geochemistry Analysis, Interpretatation, General Geothermal Industry, and Reporting.
• Preferable familiar with instrumentation, equipment assembly, and computer programming (Arc GIS, Leapfrog, GWB/WATCH/PHREEQC)
• Experience with Gas Chromatography, Wet Chemistry, ICP-OES AAS, and Tracer Analysis is a plus.
• Preferable to have experience in Field job.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Bahasa and English
• Able to create reports.
• Understand ISO 9001 & HES aspect.
• Fluent in English both written and spoken.
• Able to work under pressure and minimum supervision.
• Strong analytical sense.
• Have a driving license (SIM A dan SIM C).
• Able to work varying hours, including frequent and extended assignments to remote work sites; frequent travel to field locations within Indonesia and potentially abroad.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients
• A passion for staying up-to-date with the latest geochemical research and methodologies
