The role holder will be part of Fixed Income Derivatives Settlement under Market Securities Services Operations (MSS) umbrella. The scope Global Markets Operations comprises trade validations booking by Front Office operations, ensure smooth settlement and attending internal and external stake holder inquiries.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of Officer Global Markets Operations

Responsibilities:

• Supporting day to day operations within Global Markets Operations Fixed Income and Derivative Asset Class
• Ensure timely processing and verification of instructions and adherence to controls in place to prevent processing risk. Able to handle high volume and high value transactions accurately and under time pressure.
• Prepare Instructions to settle trades executed by the Front Office team and follows up to ensure that transactions settled in a timely manner
• Ensure Treasury Transactions (Fixed Income and Derivative) are executed within expected timeframe to meet regulatory cut off time.
• Reconcile, documents and follows up on coupon claims, charges.
• Calculating tax for Fixed Income and Derivative product and register in Banking System
• Perform internal and regulatory reporting are submitted within time frame.
• Builds trusting relationships with internal and external clients/stakeholders

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Bachelors degree holder in business, finance or related discipline
• Computer literate and ability to work on basic applications like MS Excel, MS Word, Macro is a plus.
• A collaborative individual who thrives in a team-oriented environment and possesses strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and transfer knowledge appropriately.
• Excellent communication, organization an interpersonal skill.
• Ability to speak and understand English fluently.
• Ability to multitask.

What additional skills will be good to have?

• Broader experience in financial products processing, settlements and general operations knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of SWIFT.
