About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing & Crew Staf Officer to join our team at PT Matahari Terbit Kalimantan in Palembang, Sumatera Selatan. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of materials and managing the inventory for our manufacturing and logistics operations.

What youll be doing

  • Manage the procurement process, including identifying suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of materials

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and develop efficient stock control systems

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address any supply chain issues

  • Assist with the management and coordination of the crew staff

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimise purchasing and inventory management processes

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant industry regulations

What were looking for

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a purchasing or inventory management role, preferably in the manufacturing or logistics industry

  • Fluent in English

  • Driving License

  • Have a vehicle

  • Minimum D3 Engineering

  • Strong understanding of procurement best practices, inventory control, and supply chain management

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders

  • Proficient in using inventory management and procurement software

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently

  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements
