Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies for the mining sector, focusing on both new business and client retention. This includes creating and executing sales plans aligned with regional teams and distributors.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, industry players, and stakeholders within the mining industry. This involves understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
Sales Target Achievement:
Achieve and exceed sales targets by driving revenue growth and ensuring market share is increased. This includes monitoring performance and taking corrective action when needed.
Market Analysis:
Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
Technical Support and Product Knowledge:
Provide technical support and product training to clients and internal teams. This may involve collaborating with engineering teams to tailor solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, production, and logistics, to ensure seamless delivery of products and services. They also communicate with senior management on sales performance, market trends, and potential threats.
Sales Operations:
Manage the sales pipeline, prepare sales proposals and contract, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies. They may also utilize CRM systems to track leads, customer information, and sales progress.
Industry Engagement:
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to promote the brand and build valuable connections.
Requirements:
Degree: A bachelors degree in a relevant field, such as Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or Metallurgy, is frequently required.
Sales Experience: More than 5 years of experience in sales roles focused on the mining industry, with a proven track record of achieving targets, is essential.
Mining Equipment/Processes: Understanding of mining equipment (e.g., crushers, screeners, pumps) or processes (e.g., dewatering, thickening, drying) is often necessary.
Mining Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the mining sector, including market trends and specific client needs, is crucial.
