Senior Interior Designer

2M Design Lab is seeking a talented Senior Interior Designer to join our dynamic team in Seminyak, Bali.

Role Overview

• Client Collaboration & Design Briefing : Engage directly with clients to understand project goals, spatial requirements, and aesthetic preferences. Translate these into creative, functional design solutions that align with the clients vision.
• Concept Development & Presentation : Develop and present detailed design concepts through mood boards, sketches, material boards, and 3D renderings/videos to effectively communicate design intent and direction.
• Design Documentation & Software Proficiency : Produce comprehensive 2D and 3D drawings using company-approved design software, ensuring all technical and creative aspects meet project specifications and standards.
• Material & FF&E Specification : Select and specify appropriate furniture, fixtures, finishes, and materials that support the design concept, functionality, and budget. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current trends, products, and suppliers.
• Project Management & Workflow Optimization : Plan and oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables. Organize and optimize team workflows, ensuring project milestones and deadlines are met efficiently.
• Team Coordination & Leadership : Collaborate with internal team leaders to allocate workloads and resources. Guide junior designers and coordinate across disciplines including MEP consultants, architects, and contractors to ensure cohesive project execution.
• Procurement & Installation Oversight: Oversee the procurement process and coordinate installation of all design components, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with design specifications.
• Client Communication & Support : Maintain open communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing updates, addressing feedback, and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
• Documentation & Regulatory Compliance : Manage project-related documentation, including contracts, estimates, schedules, and approvals. Ensure all design outputs adhere to relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Post-Project Review & Quality Assurance : Conduct final walkthroughs with clients to ensure satisfaction, resolve any outstanding issues, and incorporate feedback into future projects. Commit to continuous improvement and design excellence.

What were looking for

• Bachelors degree or diploma in Interior Design or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in the interior design industry, ideally in a similar senior or lead designer role.
• Advanced skills in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); familiarity with 3D rendering tools is a plus.
• Strong grasp of interior design principles, space planning, color theory, and current design trends and materials.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with confidence in presenting ideas and collaborating directly with clients and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality results within budget constraints.
• A strong passion for design and a keen eye for detail, aesthetics, and functionality in creating impactful interior environments.
