SEO Specialist

Skytech is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented SEO Specialist. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive SEO strategies to drive organic traffic, increase visibility, and acquire new players/users across our web properties and content. You will leverage your deep understanding of search engine algorithms and your enthusiasm for gaming to optimize our online presence and connect with our target audience.

Responsibilities:

Develop and Implement SEO Strategies: Create and execute data-driven SEO strategies tailored to the gaming industry, considering platform nuances (PC, console, mobile), game genres, and target demographics.

Keyword Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify relevant and high-potential keywords related to our games, content, and target audience.

On-Page Optimization: Implement on-page optimization techniques, including optimizing website content, meta descriptions, title tags, header tags, and image alt text.

Technical SEO Audits & Implementation: Perform technical SEO audits to identify and resolve website issues impacting search engine crawlability and indexability. Implement technical SEO best practices.

Content Optimization: Collaborate with content creators to ensure all content is SEO-friendly, engaging, and aligned with target keywords and user intent.

Link Building: Develop and execute effective link-building strategies to acquire high-quality backlinks from relevant gaming websites, communities, and influencers.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on key SEO metrics (organic traffic, keyword rankings, conversion rates) using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console. Provide actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.

Competitive Analysis: Monitor and analyze competitor SEO strategies to identify opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.

Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Keep abreast of the latest SEO algorithm updates, gaming industry trends, and emerging digital marketing practices.

Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, content, social media, and development teams to ensure SEO efforts are integrated across all online initiatives.

Understanding of Gaming Culture: Leverage your passion for and understanding of gaming culture, terminology, and player behavior to inform SEO strategies.

Qualifications:

1 year of proven experience in SEO, with a demonstrable track record of achieving significant organic growth.

Strong understanding of SEO principles, best practices, and search engine algorithms (Google, etc.).

Proficiency in using SEO tools for keyword research, site audits, rank tracking, and competitive analysis (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Google Keyword Planner).

Experience with web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics) and data interpretation.

Solid understanding of technical SEO elements and their implementation.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A genuine passion for and understanding of the gaming industry is highly desirable.
