Strategic Policy Manager
Job Description:
Monitored and analyzed public policy, legislative, and regulatory developments with a strong focus on the technology and financial sectors, particularly fintech. This included staying ahead of emerging regulations, assessing potential business impacts, and advising on risk mitigation strategies.
Developed and executed advocacy strategies to align with the companys business objectives and regulatory positioning. Led strategic engagement efforts to shape favorable regulatory outcomes and promote the companys interests in dynamic regulatory environments.
Acted as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on matters involving regulation, reputation management, and public affairs. Provided clear, actionable insights to support executive decision-making on complex policy and regulatory issues.
Represented the company in external engagements, including dialogues with regulators, government agencies, industry associations, and policy forums. Built and maintained trusted relationships with key stakeholders to strengthen the companys voice in the policy space.
Prepared high-impact internal communications, including policy briefs, regulatory summaries, internal memos, and talking points to ensure the leadership team remained well-informed and aligned on key policy matters.
Collaborated cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Product, and Corporate Affairs teams to support strategic business initiatives, ensuring regulatory and reputational considerations were integrated into core business decisions.
Coordinated the companys participation in industry association working groups, public consultations, and regulatory discussions, ensuring the companys perspective was effectively represented and its interests protected in broader industry dialogues.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree required; an advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MPP, LL.M, or a related Masters) from a top global university is highly preferred.
5-7 years of relevant experience in regulatory strategy, public policy, government affairs, legal, or consulting roles.
Prior exposure to the technology, fintech, or financial services sectors is preferred.
Experience at a top-tier law firm, consulting firm, or within a government/regulatory agency is a strong advantage.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
Demonstrated strength in analytical thinking, stakeholder engagement, and political acumen.
Proven ability to work independently, manage complex issues, and engage effectively with senior leadership.
