Job Description:We are looking for a caring and motivated Preschool Teacher Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the lead teacher in implementing the Montessori method in a classroom of children aged 2 to 6 years. You will help create a nurturing learning environment, assist in lesson preparation and delivery, and contribute to the overall development and well-being of the students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teacher in managing a classroom using the Montessori approach

• Support the preparation and delivery of lesson plans and learning activities

• Help monitor and document student progress and development

• Provide supervision and ensure the safety and well-being of all children

• Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents as needed

• Foster a warm, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience working with young children (early childhood experience preferred)

• Bachelors degree (in any field) or currently pursuing a degree

• Uses basic English (spoken and written)

• Basic understanding of early childhood development (ages 2-6)

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Enthusiastic, dependable, and eager to learn

• Able to start immediately and commit to a minimum 2-year term

• Must currently reside in Jayapura, Papua or be willing to relocate
