Head of Outdoor Education

Job Description:

• Develop and implement an Outdoor Education Strategy aligned with BSJs educational philosophy and curriculum.
• Develop, review, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all student trips, including residentials, sports fixtures, day excursions, overseas and domestic travel, and all outdoor education activities.
• Oversee and enhance expeditions, International Award, service learning trips, and residential programmes.
• Manage trip budgets, logistics, and resource allocation, ensuring financial sustainability of the programme.
• Recruit, train, and support staff involved in outdoor education and student trips.
• Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community to promote outdoor education.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• A track record of exceptional leadership experience
• Enthusiasm and motivation for exemplary teaching and learning
• Having work experience of at least 5 years in accordance with the qualifications of the position to be applied
