Job Description - Local Assistant / Field Manager (Bali-based)
Location: Bali, Indonesia
Employment type: Part-time / Full-time (flexible)
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and outgoing Local Assistant / Field Manager in Bali to support daily activities, communication, and coordination with local people and businesses. This role is ideal for a young Balinese professional who is fluent in English, understands local systems, and can help bridge cultural and language gaps.
Key Responsibilities
• Accompany employer to meetings, viewings (e.g., villa/office rentals), and local appointments
• Communicate effectively with property owners, local businesses, and authorities in Indonesian/Balinese
• Negotiate, translate, and explain terms clearly between both parties
• Guide and assist in navigating Balinese administrative or business processes
• Support with errands, bookings, and organizing daily tasks
• Build trusted relationships with local contacts and partners
Requirements
• Based in Bali, preferably familiar with Denpasar, Canggu, Ubud, and surrounding areas
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia (Balinese language is a plus)
• Strong interpersonal skills; friendly, confident, and good at negotiation
• Reliable, organized, and trustworthy personality
• Young, energetic, and flexible with time
• Previous experience in assisting foreigners or hospitality/tourism is an advantage
