Asst. Engineer Architectural
Design & Planning: Create architectural concepts and detailed designs for industrial facilities, including steel structures, office complexes, and offshore platforms.
CAD & Software: Utilize CAD software like AutoCAD and Revit for preparing design drawings and technical documentation.
Multidisciplinary Coordination: Work closely with other engineers (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) to ensure integrated and efficient project designs.
Standards & Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to stringent oil and gas industry standards, classification society requirements, and company health, safety, and environmental policies.
Documentation: Prepare engineering documents, including tender documentation and statutory submissions.
Analysis: Conduct structural analyses and other relevant analyses for floating structures and other components as needed.
Project Management: Manage multiple architectural projects simultaneously and ensure timely delivery.
Design and development: Prepare conceptual, basic, and detailed architectural designs, including finishes and material specifications.
Documentation: Produce comprehensive technical documentation, drawings, and specifications for various architectural packages, ensuring alignment with project scopes and inter-discipline requirements.
Project lifecycle management: Assisting to the Engineering Team architectural projects from the initial planning stage through design, construction, and post-construction phases.
Coordination and collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Civil, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical engineers, as well as contractors and clients, to ensure seamless integration of building systems.
Safety and compliance: Ensure that designs and construction activities meet strict safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory codes for the oil and gas sector, both for onshore and offshore facilities.
Bid evaluation and procurement: Ability to review tender documents, evaluate proposals from suppliers for architectural packages, and provide technical assessments.
Site supervision: Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, perform quality control checks, and resolve design or construction-related issues that arise.
Sustainability: Incorporate sustainable and energy-efficient strategies and materials into designs to minimize environmental impact.
Budgeting and scheduling: Assist in preparing project engineering schedules, man-hour estimates, and budgets for work scope change
Strong knowledge of architectural materials, finishes, and building, O&G Platform standards.
Capable of preparing concept, basic, and detailed design drawings, including statutory submission documentation.
Understanding of project requirements across other engineering disciplines.
Ability to manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications:
Education: A Diploma/Bachelors degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering is required; or equivalent.
Experience: Experience (5+ years) in architectural design within the oil & gas or industrial sector is a common requirement.
Software Proficiency: Expertise in architectural design software like AutoCAD, Revit, and MicroStation is essential.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of industrial building design, architectural materials, and building standards and requirements.
Interdisciplinary Understanding
English Proficiency: Knowledge of other engineering disciplines to support effective collaborations.
