Business Development (Sales Special Lighting)

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Executive to lead growth in our Special Lighting division. This role focuses on building strategic relationships with developers, architects, interior designers, and key stakeholders in premium residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality projects. Your main responsibility will be to generate project-based opportunities, pitch technical/custom lighting solutions, and close deals that align with our brands premium positioning.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Networking

- Identify and engage prospective clients (developers, architects, design consultants, contractors).

- Attend industry events, expos, and networking sessions to build strong connections.

- Maintain and grow a pipeline of project-based opportunities.

- Invite prospect to our showroom located in PIK 2

Client Engagement & Relationship Management

- Conduct client meetings and presentations to understand project requirements and offer tailored lighting solutions.

- Collaborate with the design team to deliver proposals, lighting plans, and mockups.

- Maintain long-term relationships for recurring business and referrals.

Sales & Negotiation

- Develop pricing strategies and negotiate contracts in coordination with the management team.

- Create quotations and invoice to clients

- Handle coordination from design to end installation process.

- Follow up on leads and ensure timely closing of sales targets.

- Collaborate with showroom sales team to avoid overlap and enhance synergy.

Product & Market Intelligence

- Stay up to date with trends in special and architectural lighting (e.g., track systems, smart lighting, custom fixtures).

- Understand technical product specs and differentiate offerings from competitors.

- Monitor market developments and contribute insights to the product and marketing team.

Product & Market Intelligence

- Use CRM tools, Odoo to track leads, follow-ups, and deal progress.

- Use BCI Central for database and prospecting clients

- Prepare weekly sales reports and pipeline forecasts.

Requirements

- Min 3 years experience in B2B sales, business development, or project sales - ideally in lighting, interior products, or architecture-related fields.

- Strong network within the design/build industry is a plus.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Ability to understand technical products and propose value-based solutions.

- Self-driven, target-oriented, and able to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

- Background in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or Business.

- Experience with lighting or technical product sales.

- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Sketchup, Dialux, or lighting layout tools is a bonus.
