About the role
PT Datang Dssp Power Indonesia is seeking a skilled Chinese Interpreter (Mandarin Translator) to join our team on a contract basis. Based in Central Kalimantan, this critical role will provide high-quality translation and interpretation services to support our operations and facilitate effective communication with our Chinese stakeholders.
What you'll be doing
Provide accurate and timely translation of written documents between Chinese (Mandarin) and Indonesian/English
Interpret conversations and meetings between Chinese and Indonesian/English speakers to enable seamless communication
Assist with the preparation of presentations, reports, and other materials for meetings with Chinese stakeholders
Help to build and maintain strong relationships with our Chinese partners and collaborators
Contribute to the development of our company's Chinese language capabilities and resources
Ensure the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity in all your work
What we're looking for
Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) and Indonesian/English, with excellent written and verbal translation skills
Proven experience as a professional interpreter or translator, ideally in the energy/power generation industry or a related field
Strong cross-cultural communication skills and the ability to navigate cultural nuances effectively
Excellent time management, multitasking, and organisational abilities to handle diverse assignments
A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a team
