Corporate Business Department Head

Job Overview:

Managing the implementation of financing, project guarantee, and insurance business activities, including planning, execution, and business development in the agricultural industry sector, as an effort to achieve LPEIs business targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Formulating the business strategy, work plan, and departmental budget.

  • Evaluating proposed target markets and identifying potential eligible customers within the managed industry sector.

  • Managing the implementation of marketing activities for LPEIs products to (prospective) customers.

  • Evaluating proposed marketing strategies to be implemented as part of efforts to achieve the divisions business targets.

  • Building and maintaining good relationships with customers.

  • Evaluating the results/proposals of feasibility analyses on business proposals within the managed industry sector to be reviewed by reviewers.

  • Managing the implementation of credit ratings for (prospective) Debtors in the managed industry sector.

  • Managing the monitoring of customer business activities, fulfillment of obligations, and financing requirements, including taking preventive measures in case of declining business performance or activities.

  • Evaluating proposed financing collectability assessments and analysis of objective evidence of financing, including the calculation of individual impairment (CKPN) and maintaining financing collectability in coordination with related units.

  • Ensuring the achievement of the departments business targets.

  • Ensuring that all operational activities are conducted in accordance with good corporate governance and risk management principles.

  • Ensuring the fulfillment of audit follow-up actions.

  • Providing coaching and mentoring to employees under their supervision.

  • Carrying out other duties as required by the institution and/or as instructed by superiors.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum graduate from any reputable university. Post-graduation will be and added advantage.

  2. Minimum 10 years of experience in banking and/or financial institutions, and/or having served as a Relationship Manager or Officer in at least two different work units.

  3. Holding a Certificate of Risk Management will be an advantage.

  4. Possess strong knowledge and understanding of:

  • Banking or financial institution products and business operations

  • Banking credit procedures

  • Corporate finance

  • Financial analysis

  • Banking risk management

  • Laws/regulations/provisions related to banking, insurance, guarantees, and export-import activities

  • Regulations related to trade protection, regional and global economic organizations, and trade agreements

  • Country risk and the economic systems of export destination countries

  • Strategic planning / strategic management

  • Finance for non-finance professionals

  • HR for non-HR professionals
