Database Engineer

.The Successful Candidate Will Be :

• Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of experience with MySQL/MariaDB.
• 1+ year experience with MySQL clusters.
• 1+ year experience with high performance / big data handling (e.g. Table Partitioning).
• Knowledge and experience of Percona, Big Data, Cassandra, and OLAP databases will be preferred.
• Being able to work in an interrupt-driven environment and to easily move from task to task while maintaining overall productivity.
• Being able to multi-task and work under pressure.
• Ability to be careful and thorough with detail.
• Being able to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.

Job Description

• Designing database schemas and improving existing database designs.
• Benchmarking and optimizing queries.
• Managing and developing clustered/replicated database system using MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or other engines.
• Troubleshooting database related problems.
• Designing and implementing backup, archive, migration and upgrade strategies
