Job Description:
The Executive Chef is responsible for overseeing the entire culinary operation. This includes strategic menu planning, managing kitchen staff, ensuring food quality and safety, optimizing food cost and inventory, and upholding the brand's culinary standards. The Executive Chef plays a leadership role in innovation, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, supervise, and inspire the entire culinary team across all kitchen operations.
Design and develop menus that reflect creativity, seasonality, and profitability.
Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation in all outlets.
Oversee kitchen budgeting, food costing, and inventory control.
Implement and enforce hygiene and safety standards (e.g., HACCP, local regulations).
Collaborate with F&B management and other departments for special events, banquets, and promotions.
Recruit, train, and evaluate kitchen staff to maintain a high-performance team.
Maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure proper sourcing of ingredients.
Conduct regular kitchen inspections and audits to ensure cleanliness and efficiency.
Monitor guest feedback and continuously improve the dining experience.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or related field.
Minimum 5-7 years of progressive culinary leadership experience, with at least 2 years as Head Chef or Executive Chef.
Proven expertise in menu creation, food costing, and kitchen operations.
Strong knowledge of international cuisines, dietary needs, and food trends.
Excellent leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
Food Safety and Sanitation Certification (HACCP or equivalent).
Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
Able to work under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
