We are recruiting for a highly regarded international school in Indonesia, located on an impressive 44-acre campus in the vibrant city of Jakarta. The school is a welcoming, inclusive community representing over 50 nationalities and educating students aged 2 to 18 years.

Situated in South West Jakarta, the campus offers outstanding facilities that support academic excellence, innovation, and wellbeing. The curriculum begins with the UK Early Years Foundation Stage, continues through the English National Curriculum and inquiry-based learning in Primary, and progresses into the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (DP), and Career-related Programme (CP) in Secondary. Mathematics is a core academic discipline within the school, with a strong emphasis on conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and real-world application across the IB continuum.

Following an increase in student enrolment, the school is seeking an experienced and dynamic Faculty Leader of Mathematics to join the Secondary leadership team from August 2026. This is a key middle-leadership role, combining high-quality classroom teaching with responsibility for leading and developing the Mathematics faculty across the Secondary School.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong experience of the IB Diploma Programme Mathematics, alongside the ability to lead inquiry- and concept-based learning across the IB Middle Years Programme. In addition to curriculum leadership, the role includes acting as a form tutor within the Secondary School (Years 7–13), supporting students academic progress, wellbeing, and personal development.

The Faculty Leader of Mathematics will provide academic and professional leadership for the Mathematics department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning across all Secondary year groups. This includes overseeing curriculum planning and progression from MYP into DP, supporting consistency of assessment practice, and leading departmental moderation and reflection.

The role involves teaching Mathematics across the Secondary age range, including IB DP Mathematics, modelling excellent classroom practice and supporting colleagues through mentoring and collaboration. The Faculty Leader will work closely with senior leaders and fellow faculty leaders to contribute to whole-school initiatives, professional learning, and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will also maintain effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues, and actively contribute to the pastoral programme through their role as a form tutor.

Applicants should hold a relevant degree in Mathematics or a related field, along with a recognised teaching qualification such as a PGCE or equivalent. A minimum of five years relevant teaching experience is required, with proven experience teaching IB DP Mathematics. Experience within the IB MYP and familiarity with inquiry- and concept-based pedagogy are essential.
