Finance Operation

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day finance operations including accounts payable/receivable, policyholders-related payments (including claims, withdrawals/surrender, maturity benefit payments), non-policyholders-related payments (including third party vendors, salesforce, bank partners, employee reimbursement, intercompany transactions) and corporate credit card settlement/monitoring.

  • Ensure Make sure all financial transactions are processed accurately and on time, following internal controls and regulatory requirements.

  • Oversee monthly reconciliations and journal entries to ensure smooth and accurate accounting close for all transactions handled by the Finance Ops team.

  • Work closely with teams like Procurement, Operations, Accounting, Distribution Compensation, IT, and others to resolve operational issues and meet payment SLAs.

  • Respond to and resolve payment-related questions from vendors, salesforce, bank partners, employees, and intercompany teams.

  • Track any deviations or special requests in payment processes and analyze root causes, .

  • Work together as a team to improve internal controls and operational efficiency through automation in the overall Finance Operation processes, ensure no audit findings (internal or external) and timely remediation of the audit recommendations.

  • Actively contribute to finance-related projects, helping to design and implement effective solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in Finance, with a focus on Finance Operations. Preferably from financial institution (insurance).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

  • Excellent managerial skills, and communication skills, including effective problem solving and decision-making abilities, are vital.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, compliance frameworks, and risk management practices within the financial industry is required.
