We are seeking a Housekeeping Manager to lead pre-opening preparations, daily operations, and staff training for housekeeping services. This role oversees cleanliness across guest rooms, coworking areas, and public spaces while managing linen operations, supplies, and vendor performance. The Housekeeping Manager will recruit, train, and motivate staff, implement eco-friendly practices, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations. A key focus will be delivering high service standards, handling guest requests, and fostering collaboration with other departments to create a seamless guest experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesPre-opening Preparation
Plan and secure initial inventory of linens (sheets, towels, etc.) and amenities.
Research and negotiate contracts with external laundry/cleaning outsourcing vendors.
Develop initial Housekeeping SOPs (cleaning standards, linen replacement cycles, lost & found procedures, etc.).
Conduct pre-opening inspections and ensure guest rooms, coworking areas, and public spaces are fully prepared.
Plan and deliver training and orientation programs for housekeeping staff prior to opening.
Operations Management
Oversee cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms, corridors, public areas, rooftop, and poolside.
Establish and implement deep cleaning schedules.
Perform regular inspections and provide feedback for improvement.
Manage linen operations and ensure compliance with vendor SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
Monitor and control stock of cleaning supplies and amenities.
Team Leadership & Training
Recruit, schedule, and assign housekeeping staff.
Train staff on safety, hygiene, and service standards.
Monitor staff performance, provide coaching, and foster motivation.
Build a positive and collaborative multicultural team environment.
Guest Service & Interdepartmental Collaboration
Handle guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally.
Work closely with Front Office, Engineering, and F&B teams to ensure seamless service.
Implement eco-friendly and sustainable housekeeping practices.
Administration & Compliance
Manage budget, labor costs, and expenses for housekeeping operations.
Prepare duty rosters and ensure effective labor allocation while minimizing overtime.
Ensure compliance with Indonesian health, safety, and labor regulations.
Report maintenance issues to the Engineering team and follow up on resolution.
Minimum 3-5 years of housekeeping experience in hotels, resorts, serviced apartments, or co-living.
Pre-opening experience and outsourcing vendor management preferred.
Proven experience in developing and implementing housekeeping SOPs.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests.
Excellent interdepartmental communication skills to collaborate with Front Office, Engineering, and F&B teams.
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills in a multicultural environment.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, equipment, and linen management.
Proficiency in English (Bahasa Indonesia or Korean is a plus).
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
