Logistic Manager

We are seeking a results-oriented Logistics Manager to lead and optimize our end-to-end logistics operations in the carrageenan industry. You will be responsible for overseeing the movement, storage, and distribution of raw materials and finished goods—both locally and internationally. As a Logistics Manager, you will oversee and manage all aspects of inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery of goods and materials. You will coordinate closely with suppliers, customs brokers, production, warehousing, and sales teams to streamline the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor the logistics and transportation of raw materials (e.g., seaweed, chemicals) and finished carrageenan products.

• Manage shipping documentation, import/export processes, and customs clearance requirements.

• Oversee warehousing operations, inventory control, and materials handling practices.

• Select, evaluate, and manage relationships with logistics providers, freight forwarders, and transport companies.

• Monitor delivery schedules and ensure on-time shipments for local and international clients.

• Implement strategies to optimize freight costs, transit time, and inventory levels.

• Ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations, safety, and food-grade handling protocols.

• Track logistics KPIs, prepare reports, and drive continuous improvement in efficiency and cost savings.

• Supervise logistics and warehouse staff, including training, task delegation, and performance monitoring.

• Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, Sales, and Finance teams to support operational goals.

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations, preferably in the food, carrageenan, or manufacturing industry.

• At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, incoterms, and customs documentation.

• Experience with international shipping, warehousing, and inventory management systems.

• Proficient in logistics software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, WMS).

• Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong leadership and communication abilities.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
