Logistics Business Unit Manager

About the role

We are seeking an exceptional Logistics Business Unit Manager to join our dynamic team at PT Altus Logistics Services Indonesia in our South Jakarta office. This full-time role will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and operational excellence of our logistics business unit, driving growth and ensuring exceptional customer service.

What youll be doing

1. Developing and implementing comprehensive business plans to achieve logistics unit goals and objectives

2. Overseeing day-to-day operations, including inventory management, distribution, and transportation

3. Analyzing data and KPI to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings

4. Building and managing a high-performing team of logistics professionals

5. Fostering strong relationships with key customers and partners

6. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards

7. Collaborating cross-functionally to align the logistics unit with the broader company strategy

What were looking for

1. Minimum 10 years in Logistics industry, with at least 3 years in managerial level

2. Proven success in handling projects

3. Hands on experience in oil & gas, mining and EPC projects is advantage

4. Freight Forwarding expertise; air, sea, land, multi modal shipments etc

5. Project Logistics: heavy lift cargo, oversized shipments

6. Supply Chain & Logistics knowledge; inventory control, warehousing, distribution

7. Customs & Formalities; import/export laws, HS codes etc

8. Technology & systems; tracking system, warehouse inventory system

9. Strong vendor networking including international agents

10. Financial Acumen; support commercial analysis, budget & cost control

11. Ability to lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team

12. Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field

13. Related professional certifications such as PPJK etc

14. Experience in business development and having customer base is advantage
