About the job:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced MEP Manager to join our Project Management Consultancy team and play a critical role in the delivery of a large-scale Electric Vehicle (EV) manufacturing facility. This Posisi sits at the intersection of technical leadership, stakeholder coordination, and strategic project oversight, ensuring the seamless integration of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems essential to high-tech EV production.

The MEP Manager will act as the PMC’s technical authority, bridging design, construction, process engineering, and commercial interfaces while driving quality, safety, and performance across the project lifecycle. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong industrial MEP expertise and the ability to manage complexity in fast-paced, technology-driven environments.

Project & Technical Management

  • Lead and manage all MEP activities during design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning stages.
  • Review and approve MEP designs, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and calculations.
  • Ensure MEP systems are suitable for EV manufacturing processes, including battery production, high-voltage systems, clean rooms, and specialized utilities.
  • Coordinate MEP integration with architectural, structural, and process requirements.

Contractor & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as the primary PMC interface for MEP contractors, vendors, and specialists.
  • Coordinate closely with process engineers, automation vendors, and equipment suppliers.
  • Chair MEP coordination meetings and technical workshops.
  • Resolve site technical issues and clashes collaboratively and efficiently.

Construction Supervision & Quality Control

  • Monitor site installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and international standards (NFPA, IEC, ASHRAE, local codes).
  • Implement and enforce QA/QC procedures for MEP works.
  • Conduct inspections, factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and witness testing & commissioning.

Schedule, Cost & Risk Management

  • Review and monitor MEP construction schedules and progress reports.
  • Identify delays, risks, and cost impacts related to MEP works and propose mitigation measures.
  • Review variation orders, claims, and technical justifications from contractors.

Testing, Commissioning & Handover

  • Oversee testing, commissioning, and performance validation of all MEP systems.
  • Ensure systems meet operational requirements for EV production, energy efficiency, and safety.
  • Review as-built drawings, O&M manuals, asset data, and handover documentation.
  • Support client facilities and operations teams during handover and early operation.

Health, Safety & Sustainability

  • Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, especially related to high-voltage systems, battery areas, fire protection, and hazardous environments.
  • Promote sustainability, energy efficiency, and green building practices (e.g., energy management systems, solar integration, water reuse).
