About the role

This full-time Mill Environment and Waste Management Monitoring Supervisor role at PT Phoenix Resources International will play a crucial part in ensuring the companys environmental compliance and sustainable operations at its mill in Tarakan, North Kalimantan.

What youll be doing

  1. Develop and implement effective monitoring programs to track the mills environmental and waste management performance

  2. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential environmental risks and ensure regulatory compliance

  3. Analyse environmental data and prepare detailed reports for management and regulatory authorities

  4. Collaborate with the mills operations team to identify and implement process improvements to minimize the mills environmental impact

  5. Manage the mills waste management systems, including waste segregation, treatment and disposal

  6. Stay up-to-date with relevant environmental regulations and industry standards

What were looking for

  1. Bachelors degree in Environmental Engineering or a related technical field

  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in an environmental monitoring or waste management role, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sector

  3. Proven track record of implementing effective environmental management systems and programs

  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions

  5. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with both internal and external stakeholders

  6. Proficient in the use of environmental monitoring equipment and data analysis software

  7. Familiarity with relevant environmental regulations and industry best practice
