Geekhunter is hiring on behalf of our partner's client, an airline based in the Philippines, operating both domestic and international routes.

Job Responsibilities

The Manager, NodeJS SME involves designing, building, and maintaining scalable and high-performing backend services and APIs using and NestJS, while adhering to architectural best practices in close coordination with the Solution Architect.

Responsibilities include the secure integration of databases and third-party services, writing clean and maintainable code, conducting thorough testing and code reviews, and collaborating with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines and deployment. The Posisi also requires active participation in Agile ceremonies, ongoing system optimization, and staying current with backend technologies and architectural trends.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Professional experience in backend development.
• Must have strong proficiency in and in-depth experience with NestJS.
• Must have strong proficiency in JavaScript and especially TypeScript.
• Experience in designing and building microservices and distributed systems.
• Knowledge with RESTful API design, GraphQL (optional), and API documentation tools like Swagger.
• Hands-on experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and caching strategies.
• Knowledge of containerization (e.g., Docker) and cloud deployment (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a plus.
• Experience working in Agile environments and using version control tools like Git.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Deep understanding of backend systems, software architecture, and performance tuning.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
• Collaborative mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
• Passion for building reliable, secure, and scalable backend infrastructure.
