About the RoleAs a Port Engineer Supervisor at MGMaritim, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our vessel fleet. This position is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Planned Maintenance System (PMS), managing technical projects such as transshipment (TOP) and overheight cargo (GOH), and leading a team of engineers and technical staff. You will also ensure that all operations comply with safety regulations, company standards, and industry best practices.
What You'll Be DoingPlan and supervise the implementation of the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) on board vessels.
Identify and resolve technical issues in the field and provide effective solutions.
Lead, guide, and motivate the technical team to meet operational goals and standards.
Oversee ongoing technical projects such as transshipment (TOP) and overheight cargo (GOH) operations.
Ensure all tasks are executed in compliance with quality standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to vessel maintenance and operations.
Coordinate with other departments and report project progress to relevant stakeholders.
Minimum education of D4/S1 (Bachelor's degree) in Port & Management, Nautical Studies, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
At least 2-3 years of experience as a port engineer, in marine operations, shipyard, or related industry.
Strong knowledge of port infrastructure, including cranes, docks, cargo handling systems, vessel maintenance, and technical projects such as PMS, TOP, and GOH.
Proven leadership skills in managing, mentoring, and developing a technical team.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities, especially under pressure.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience managing multiple technical projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with marine safety standards and port technical certifications.
