Product Merchandiser ( Stock Management )

  1. Inventory Management:

    • Monitor stock levels and reorder products as necessary to maintain optimal inventory.

    • Conduct regular stock audits to ensure accuracy in inventory records.

    • Implement inventory control systems and procedures to minimize stock discrepancies.

  2. Stock Receiving and Storage:

    • Oversee the receiving of new stock and ensure that it is stored properly.

    • Organize stock in the warehouse or storage area for easy access and efficient use of space.

  3. Data Entry and Record Keeping:

    • Maintain accurate records of stock levels, orders, and deliveries using inventory management software.

    • Update inventory databases and ensure that all information is current and accurate.

  4. Reporting:

    • Generate reports on stock levels, turnover rates, and inventory discrepancies for management review.

    • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements.

  5. Collaboration:

    • Work closely with purchasing, sales, and logistics teams to coordinate stock levels and fulfill orders.

    • Communicate with suppliers regarding stock availability and delivery schedules.

  6. Quality Control:

    • Inspect incoming stock for quality and compliance with specifications.

    • Address any issues related to damaged or defective products.

  7. Training and Supervision:

    • Train and supervise staff involved in stock management and inventory control.

    • Ensure that all team members follow safety and operational procedures.

  8. Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities for process improvements in stock management and inventory control.

    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in inventory management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).

  • Experience in inventory management or a related role.

  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
