Radio Network Design Engineer

  • Experienced in radio planning and network design (HLD & DLD) for 2G/3G/LTE/5G, including VoLTE and IoT, covering network topology design, link budget, and CDD/CDR.

  • Skilled in reviewing network design documents, recommending improvements, revising, and finalizing documentation.

  • Provide technical guidelines, support, and suggestions to customers, including participation in discussions and responding to RF planning and design queries for 2G/3G/LTE/VoLTE/IoT/5G.

  • Strong understanding of 2G/3G/LTE/5G concepts and architectures.

  • Experienced in managing network trials and analyzing performance data to identify coverage, capacity, and interference issues.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of hardware and software features/constraints for 2G/3G/LTE/5G, with preference for Ericsson experience; familiarity with Ericsson site configuration and ability to define BOQ requirements is a strong advantage.

  • Skilled in analyzing field surveys (e.g., site investigation reports) to support site selection and external interference analysis.

  • Provide technical advice on radio network planning and design during project implementation.

  • Proficient in 2G/3G/LTE/VoLTE/IoT radio parameters and timers, including 5G knowledge.

  • Working knowledge of MapInfo and other GIS tools.

  • Strong understanding of neighbor relations and analysis.

  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS Access for data analysis and reporting.

  • Exposure to RF-related tools such as TEMS, ACTIX, BO, and EDOS (advantageous).

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, MIS, or a related field.

  • Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in radio planning and design for GSM, LTE, or UMTS networks using RF engineering technology; knowledgeable in 5G as well.

  • Familiar with local OHS statutory regulations and group OHS requirements.

  • Good command of English, both verbal and written.
