Hiring: Research & Brand Associate (Part-Time)

(Market Intelligence & Brand Strategy Support)

About the Role

We are looking for a Research & Brand Associate to support a market research project, while also contributing to brand strategy work across different industries.

This is a part-time, remote role (~12 hours/week) for someone early in their career who wants to develop project management, analytical and synthesis, and creative writing skills.

You will work closely with a lean team on:

  • A strategic market research project to support operations (e.g scouting experts and respondents, administration, note taking)
  • Other brand-related projects (audits, trend research, content development, outside the research project)

This role combines operations + research + writing.

What You’ll Do

1. Project & Administrative Support

  • Coordinate weekly meetings and manage scheduling
  • Prepare and organize documents (e.g. invoices, simple trackers)
  • Take structured meeting notes (including key discussions, decisions, and follow-ups)
  • Help ensure timelines and deliverables stay on track
  • Draft simple agreements for stakeholders in alignment with project needs

2. Market Research Support

  • Identify and shortlist potential:
  • Interview respondents
  • Industry experts
  • Support outreach via email or LinkedIn
  • Prepare concise background summaries before interviews
  • Join expert interviews and produce clear, structured notes

3. Research & Content Support (Brand work)

  • Conduct desktop research to support:
  • Brand audits
  • Competitor mapping
  • Consumer and cultural trend analysis
  • Use tools such as Google, Google Trends, and social platforms to gather insights
  • Turn rough drafts into clear, structured articles or write-ups
  • Support synthesis of research into simple, usable outputs

Who We’re Looking For

Experience

  • 1–2 years of experience preferred
  • Open to fresh graduates with relevant hands-on experience (internships, freelance work, student projects) and proven achievement in brand management, marketing, or business.

Skills

  1. Strong desktop research ability
  2. Clear and structured writing (especially in English)
  3. Comfortable using:
  • Google Docs, Sheets, Slide, Canva
  • Basic research tools (Google Trends, social platforms, etc.)
  • AI tools (as support, not replacement for thinking)

Core Qualities

  1. Structured thinker — able to organize messy information into clear outputs
  2. Reliable with details — able to handle administrative tasks without errors
  3. Curious and proactive — naturally asks “why” and digs deeper
  4. High integrity in work — responsible in managing timely deliverables, independent, and ethical, including when using AI tools
  5. Creative — able to connect ideas, bring fresh angles, and present insights in a clear flow of thinking (not just template-driven thinking)

On AI Usage (Important)

AI tools are encouraged for efficiency. However:

  • You are expected to think independently
  • You must verify, refine, and contextualize outputs
  • Copy-pasting without understanding will not be accepted

Language

  • Bilingual (Bahasa Indonesia & English)
  • Must be able to read and write clearly in English
