Service Engineer (Medical Equipment)
Location: Papua New Guinea
Job Responsibilities
Install and test run medical equipment to ensure that all equipment meets company standards of safety and quality and compliance with relevant laws.
Maintain and repair medical equipment.
Conduct routine calibration and safety checks on the medical equipment.
Review the outcome of preventive maintenance activities and make recommendations concerning improvements.
Provide in-service training or educational programs on the proper and safe use of medical equipment.
Provide on-site technical support to the internal and external users.
Maintain organized documentation of equipment, inspection reports, and equipment repairs and failures as well as accurate inventory tracking of both addition and disposal of the medical equipment and its parts.
Updating the inventory, placing orders, and verifying deliveries.
Prepare and evaluate warranty and service contract
Exercising disciplined expense control
Prepare daily and monthly report
Qualifications
Know how to install, repair, and use medical equipment and facilities
Bachelors degree in biomedical engineering or technology, or a similar field.
Minimum of 5 years of working experience as a biomedical technician
Solid technical skills and the ability to repair machinery with meticulous attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex information in laymans terms.
Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and illustrated parts drawings of medical instrumentation.
Able to work under minimal supervision and can lead a team.
Can communicate well in English both in writing and verbal
Ability to source for supplier of medical equipment is an advantage
