Sustainability & Environmental Impact Officer

About the role

Canggu Community School (Badung) is seeking a highly motivated Sustainability & Environmental Impact Officer to join our team in Bali. This full-time role will be responsible for driving the schools sustainability initiatives and minimising our environmental impact.

What youll be doing

• Develop and implement the schools sustainability strategy, focusing on areas such as waste management, energy efficiency, and resource conservation
• Monitor and report on the schools environmental performance, identifying areas for improvement
• Collaborate with staff, students, and the local community to raise awareness and promote sustainable practices
• Conduct environmental audits and assessments to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices
• Identify and secure funding opportunities for sustainability projects and initiatives
• Represent the school at external sustainability-related events and initiatives

What were looking for

• Degree or equivalent in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar sustainability or environmental impact role, preferably within the education sector
• Strong understanding of sustainability best practices, environmental regulations, and reporting frameworks
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and inspire change
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and implement innovative sustainability solutions
• Experience in project management, budgeting, and securing funding for sustainability initiatives
