Backend Engineer Intern

About the role:

Assist Backend Engineer team for the back-end development and overall product development lifecycle

What will you do:

• Working in a Scrum team and being responsible for the back-end development within the team.
• Actively participate in the overall product development lifecycle.
• Aligning application design with product goals. Writing well-designed, efficient, secure, and testable code.
• Conducting software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging.
• Managing Java Spring Boot application development.
• Preparing and producing releases of software components.
• Delivering high availability and performance. Collaborating with multiple departments to resolve system, application, and user issues.
• Train, help, and support other team members. Support continuous improvement, investigating alternatives and technologies.
• Peer code review follows company technology standards.
• Ensuring continuous professional self-development.

What we are looking for:

• Have basic knowledge of Java (8 or later) and Spring Framework
• Familiarity with RESTful API development.
• Have basic knowledge of JPA/Hibernate for ORM and database interaction.
• Basic understanding of database concepts and SQL.

• Willling to Work hybrid in Jakarta for 3 months

• Knows version control systems
• Knows testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Integration Test).
• Knows CI/CD practices and tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Knows Docker and containerized deployments (optional but a plus).
• Easily to adapt to new projects
• Eager to learn, Quick learner, and strong logical thinking
• Good communication skill
