Engineering Technician

Role Overview:

The Cold Room and Cold Chain Equipment Engineer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of cold rooms and cold chain equipment. Candidates with experience in electrical systems will be preferred, as the role requires a solid understanding of electrical components and control systems

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct site inspections to determine feasibility and requirements for new installations.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration units, compressors, condensers, and evaporators.
• Diagnose and repair faults in electrical and mechanical systems of cold chain equipment.
• Ensure minimal downtime through effective troubleshooting and rapid response to equipment failures.
• Install, inspect, and maintain electrical components, such as wiring, control panels, and automation systems, within cold rooms.
• Develop and implement electrical safety protocols specific to cold chain operations.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of refrigeration systems to reduce energy consumption.
• Recommend and implement upgrades to improve equipment efficiency and lifespan.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum graduate from a Vocational High School (SMK) in Electrical Engineering, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 years of experience in the installation and maintenance of cold rooms or cold chain equipment.
• Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems is required.
• Understanding of refrigeration cycles, cooling technologies, and basic thermodynamics principles.
