Export Import Ocean Manager

About the role

This is a full-time position based in Kelapa Gading, Jakarta, working for PT Wings Global Logistics, a leading provider of freight and cargo forwarding services. As the Export Import Ocean Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the companys ocean freight operations, ensuring efficient and compliant import and export logistics for our valued clients.

What youll be doing

• Manage and optimise end-to-end ocean freight operations, including booking, documentation, tracking, and problem resolution

• Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, port authorities, and customs agencies to ensure seamless cargo movement

• Monitor and analyse key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements

• Provide expert guidance and training to the ocean freight team, ensuring they deliver exceptional customer service

• Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and implement strategies that align with the companys overall business objectives

• Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, trends, and best practices to ensure compliance and drive innovation

What were looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior ocean freight management role within the logistics or freight forwarding industry

• Thorough understanding of ocean freight operations, including customs clearance, documentation, and regulatory requirements

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders

• Proficiency in relevant software and IT systems used in the logistics industry

• Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and a continuous improvement mindset
