Head of Inventory Controller
Responsibilities:
Manage Inventory Accuracy & Controls
Oversee stock counts, audits, reconciliation processes, and inventory discrepancy investigations to ensure data integrity across systems and physical inventory.
Lead Monthly Closing & Financial Compliance
Manage monthly closing for inventory, sales, and gross profit in coordination with Accounting Dept., ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies and standards.
Lead Sales, Inventory & Margin Forecasting
Develop and manage detailed forecasts for sales, inventory, and gross margin in collaboration with merchandising, operations, and marketing teams.
Develop & Maintain Financial Reports & Dashboards
Build and maintain dashboards tracking key KPIs (e.g., GMROS, GMROI, inventory turnover, sales per m²) to guide operational and financial strategy.
Analyze Retail Performance & Drive Strategic Insights
Monitor sales trends, discounting, store performance, and profitability to deliver actionable insights that support business decisions.
Implement & Optimize Inventory Systems
Lead implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of inventory management systems and support audit processes related to inventory and margins.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including roles in inventory management and financial analysis at a middle leadership level.
Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm and/or retail company is a strong advantage.
Strong understanding of retail operations, supply chain processes, and point-of-sale systems.
Familiarity with Retail Systems (ERP/POS); knowledge of BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
Advanced skills in Excel and Power Query.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
