Job Description & Requirements

2 Distinct Job Scope - for a high qualified candidate - strong in engineering, but also has ability to learn about commercial and financial matters, and be a self starter and problem solver

1. JAAN WATER

You will be reporting to the CEO Saud Siddique, supporting the CEO in all key aspects relating to Jaan Water and its business growth, including:

• Sales & Marketing - execute and follow up on directives of CEO in terms of sales and marketing, and be responsible for supervising and growing local Indonesian team to achieve sales and marketing targets. In particular, assist CEO in developing and executing Sales & Marketing in respect of Depots and Wholesale/Distributors for buying Jaan Water products

• Assist CEO in monitoring the operations of Jaan factory, and participate in trouble shooting as and when required

• Day to day point of contact with the Plant / Operations manager

• Assist CEO in new product development

• Act as a point-of-contact for CEO in respect of vendors and key customers, review receivable & payables through AR & AP Listing, questions when the need arises, and monitor if we are on the right track to meet group profit projection

• Assist CEO in other engineering requirements, e.g. working with contractors on design and implementation of rooftop solar and batteries for the factory, etc

• Assist CEO to develop SOP for the operations of the factory, and to assist in securing qualifications such as ISO certification for the Jaan business

In Bali, there may be scope to support CEO in business development and identifying potential project investment opportunities in Bali (and other cities in Indonesia), such as sewage treatment and recycling, SWRO/BWRO, etc, offered on a BOO/zero-capex basis for creditworthy commercial and industrial end-users, including where Dew would be the contractor engaged for such solutions.

Also, support CEO in developing (over the medium term) the strategy to fund and support Dew in terms of developing and operating a similar Jaan drinking water business in India.

1. TIGRIS

Candidate will also be involved in support both CEO (Saud Siddique) and other senior management (based in Singapore) on the Tigris business.

Tigris is a Singapore-based project development company, focusing on Environmental and Sustainability Projects, such as water/wastewater/waste treatment, energy optimization and efficiency systems, distributed renewable energy, etc. Tigris works with environmental engineering firms in these countries to develop, finance, operate and maintain Environmental and Sustainability solutions to customers, including commercial, industrial and residential end-users.

The scope of work related to the Tigris business include:

Primary Role: Responsible for reviewing techno-engineering design and execution during the project cycle, from evaluation, implementation through to operations / maintenance, including:

• Pre-investment technical due diligence, such as review of engineering and process design, comparing capex/opex estimates to industry benchmarks, technical capabilities of EPC contractors, etc

  Supervision during implementation, such as:

• Verify whether project-related EPC and investment agreements are being met.

• Physical status of the work implemented on site.

• Judge and report the quantum of finance contributed and used for the project.

• Estimated expenditure for the project over observed progress.

• Review and comment of Statutory Approvals and Clearances.

• To check whether physical progress is in line with project implementation schedule and planned project timelines.

• Review the drawdown schedule for the planned project activity.

• Oversee operations and maintenance of project investments, to ensure O&M contractors are performing their roles, and projects are being managed in line with budgets and contracts

Secondary Role: Support Business Development / Commercial / Investment work, i.e. identify and contact potential environmental projects which Tigris can invest in, including in India, Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, and over time, to work with local partner companies on project development and business strategy.

• Ability to blend engineering knowledge with commercial and financial insights.

• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage teams and collaborate with senior management.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

• Prior experience in water/wastewater treatment, environmental projects, or renewable energy is a plus.
