Description

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for coordinating production planning activities at Future Pipe Industries Indonesia. This position reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager and works closely with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure efficient operations and optimal inventory management.

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, or related field
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Strong engineering background

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate production planning activities to ensure there are enough goods and materials to meet demand without creating overstock or excess inventory
• Resource planning for raw material, man power and machine capability
• Manage inventory of Finished Goods (FGs), Raw Materials (RMs)
• Determine and manage raw material levels (minimum and maximum) and Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO) targets based on business needs, market intelligence, and emerging developments
• Collaborate with Production, Stores, Delivery, Process Control, and Quality Control departments to ensure efficient production planning and inventory management
• Create comprehensive reports on departmental activities including supply market trends, price developments, and savings/value added metrics
• Monitor performance against key indicators such as transportation costs, delivery rates, and procurement cycle times
• Verify no manufacturing starts without confirmed Purchase Orders from customers and ensure related sales orders are booked in the ERP system
